Update 7/4/2020 @ 7:00 am-- Tawas bay has received no substantial rain for the past 23 days. The NWS COOP Weather Station in East Tawas reports that June precipitation was 62% (-2.00") below average; the temperature was 3% (1.9°F) above average; annual precipitation has been 18% (+2.72") above average; the annual temperature has been 4% (+1.7°F) above average. Monthly precipitation for the Lake Huron-Michigan Basin through for June was 2% (+.06") above average. The average Lake Huron surface temperature is 66.2°F compared to 64.0°F last year and to the long-term average of 59.6°F. NOAA has failed to deploy the buoys at Alpena, Oscoda, and Point AuGres. At 6:00 am, the Canadian buoy in Southern Lake Huron shows an air temperature of 68.5°F, a wind speed of 7 mph,  and a wave height of 0.7 ft. The water temperature at Harbor Beach is 62.4°.
